What rip off artists! Not content with charging a fortune for data the O2 people default your shiny new Blackberry to divert to voicemail after only 2-3 Rings. Thus forcing you to call back (££) or pick up the message (££).The correct way to format a "61" command is this.
First, find your VoiceMail number by going to
Call Log
Menu
Options
Voice Mail
This will show your VM (voice mail)
Go to your phone dialer and dial **61*[VM]**[sec]#send
with [VM] replaced by your voice mail, and [sec] replaced by the number of seconds you want for your ringing, in 5 second increments, ex:
for 30 seconds. I had struggled a little trying to figure out how to get the '*' and '#' symbols, kept messing around with the Alt key. No Alt keys are needed at all, just the string as you see it.
We've only tried this with O2 and it works a treat;.
You will need to know your voicemail
phone number (UKO2 is 447705270537 and
T-Mobile is 447959118207) the 44 is the country code and you drop the first zero of the standard voicemail number if applicable.
Configurations vary on the different networks so try either of the following formats:
*61*447959118207**25#
or
**61*14163573229**30#
Then press send.
The 25 at the end, is the number of seconds before diversion to voicemail. up to 25 seconds.

Good luck!!!
If this doesn't work then call your network's customer services (not as much fn though)
